Overview

A major construction project required cleaning and commissioning support for an 18km trunk watermain consisting of DN500 & DN600 Ductile Iron. As the construction phase neared completion, the Client sought the expertise of iNPIPE PRODUCTS™ to assist with pipeline cleaning and commissioning.

iNPIPE PRODUCTS™ was engaged to provide a tailored solution using foam pigs for swabbing and cleaning operations, along with personnel support for pigging operations and tracking.

Project Scope & Methodology

To ensure the successful cleaning and commissioning of the pipeline, iNPIPE PRODUCTS™ implemented a strategic pigging approach using a combination of foam pigs designed for optimal debris removal. Each section underwent multiple pig runs to achieve thorough cleaning before commissioning.

• Pig #1 – Soft Foam Criss Cross Pig equipped with tow ropes and transmitter
• Pigs #2 & #3 – Medium Density Criss Cross Foam Pigs fitted with tow ropes and transmitter housing

In addition to providing bespoke foam pigs, iNPIPE PRODUCTS™ deployed experienced personnel on-site to oversee pigging operations and ensure smooth execution.
