iNPIPE PRODUCTS™ was engaged by an international offshore services contractor to design, manufacture, test and supply bespoke 48″ piggable hyperbaric isolation tools and associated equipment for an offshore crude oil pipeline repair and tie-in project in the Far East.
The equipment was required to support hyperbaric operations during the repair and replacement of a damaged pipeline section. Following a review of the project requirements, we developed a bespoke isolation tool design for the application.
Three tools were manufactured, together with dedicated ‘C’ frame lifting equipment, a hydraulically operated pig loader and a refurbishment kit.
Prior to mobilisation, the tools underwent Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), including pigging trials and functional testing, at our North Yorkshire facility. The trials were carried out with a single tool and with two tools configured back-to-back to demonstrate compliance with the agreed project requirements.

Following successful testing, the equipment was shipped to the client’s facility. iNPIPE PRODUCTS™ also provided onsite technical support during the project.
